Why RYF Limited?
The inspiration for RYF Limited comes from a desire to provide professional services at extremely competitive rates thus benefitting an industry that has been very rewarding over the years, and more importantly, to deliver real value to the members of pensions schemes within that industry.
My Story
I’m a product of the eighties and, like many of us, I didn’t set out to build a career in pensions. But clerical roles paid well, and to support a suitably flamboyant lifestyle at the time, I accepted a role in the Section 32 buy-out team at a local insurance company. I’ve never really looked back.
Since then, I’ve worked across almost every type of occupational pension scheme. A particular highlight was helping to establish the Abu Dhabi Retirement Pensions & Benefits Fund during a 13-year period working overseas. As part of that work—and in a constant effort to benchmark best practice—I travelled extensively, studying pension systems in the United States, Canada, South East Asia and Northern Europe.
Over the years, I’ve managed administration teams, developed and delivered pension administration systems and services, and more recently moved into Trustee executive services and governance. I currently work with both a well-known, multi-employer industry scheme and a niche defined benefit arrangement.
The industry has been good to me. But ultimately, it exists to serve its members and their employers—to deliver secure, reliable outcomes for real people. Through RYF Limited, I’m focused on playing a small but meaningful part in doing exactly that.
